Loud really impressed me with their original mix flavor and now it’s time to check out their new brand extension, Loud Sitrus Stunner. Loud has always had a way of flaunting their conventional and their daringness continues with Sitrus Stunner. First off is the name, where most people go with the classic spelling, Loud throws it our face with a “s” for citrus. I like it! The can is very similar to the Classic mix but with a true citrusy yellow shape showing the loud volume that promises to boost you up. I also like the buzz look they have added to the subbrand logo of "Sitrus Stunner."

Loud Sitrus Stunner looks like orange soda with a little peach coloring to it. The flavor is an interesting lemon and orange sweet tea flavor. No this is not some earthy all natural tea stuffed with astringent tannins, but is more of the tea flavor you get in a nice sweet mellow iced tea. The citrus or should I say sitrus flavors are a mix of sweet oranges and tangerines with some Meyer Lemon. I never thought I would reference a Meyer Lemon on this blog, but that’s just the kind of cutting edge energy drink journalism I bring you. Like any good Meyer Lemon energy drink, Sitrus Stunner avoids the tartness of normal lemons and makes itself super smooth for a citrus drink with only the barest bit of orange rind bitterness to draw out the smoothness. Loud Sitrus Stunner accentuates this with a fairly light amount of carbonation. In comparison to the Loud Classic Mix which is a radically different flavor profile, this is a little softer and will appeal to those looking for a loud drink that’s not as bold. Think of Sitrus Stunner like playing a piece of classical music really loud! Smooth but energizing is what I get.

Loud Sitrus Stunner clocks in at 160 calories and 39 grams of sugar in the form of sucrose. Throw onto that mixture the classic energy drink ingredients of taurine, caffeine, inostiol, ginseng, guarana, B Vitamins, carnitine, and sucralose and you have a nice base to give you a boost. I found Sitrus Stunner got the job done, especially for a drink that is not in a 16 oz. can. With the classic mix and Sitrus Stunner there is a good sense of originality and variety in the Loud Energy Drink line. I can’t wait to see what flavors they think of next!
